Join us under Wairarapa’s pristine dark skies for a stargazing adventure like no other. At Star Safari, we make astronomy accessible—whether you’re a complete beginner or an astrophysicist (we have one too!). We have probably the best stargazing setup in New Zealand, a cloudy sky programme, real stories, and actual scientists who really love stars.

What you’ll do:

See planets, galaxies, and nebulae up close – through our 16″ telescopes (Princess Leia & Darth Vader)
Learn to stargaze with binoculars or your eyeballs
Hear mind-blowing facts from our in-house space nerds
Learn astrophotography (on demand)
Add a dose of science to your weekend plans

And because Star-Safari is more than just stargazing, we also have a Cloudy Skies programme where we explore space with VR, take questions, and look at the night sky via our immersive planetarium software.
